If you wish to make a presentation to Council, you can write a letter to the Mayor and request to speak to Council. You may submit your request by clicking on the button below and filling out the form, or you may submit your request in writing and either drop it off or mail it to the Town Office at the address listed below. Please include as much information about your request as possible. Include your first and last name, name of the organization (if you are representing one), your telephone number and email address.
Presentations to Council will be scheduled for either a Town Legislative Committee Meeting or a Town Council Meeting depending on when the request is received. Town Council Meetings are held on the second and fourth Mondays of every month (except where holidays interfere). Legislative Committee Meetings are held on Tuesdays. If your request to present to Council is granted, a member of the Town’s Legislative Services department will contact you to schedule your delegation.
Please Note: Members of the public in attendance at any meeting of Town Council, including Public Hearings, are expected to adhere to the General Conduct of meetings outlined in the Council Procedural Bylaw. It is recommended to review sections 6.9 and 6.10 of this document prior to your presentation.

Public Hearings
Members of the public may participate in public hearings regarding issues and decisions that may affect them or the community. Public hearings take place in Council Chambers at the Town Administration Building.
Public hearings are legislated by the Municipal Government Act and Town of Vegreville Council Procedural Bylaw.
Members of the public have an opportunity to present whether they are in favour or opposed to a specific issue or decision. Presentations by members of the public will be restricted to a maximum of five (5) minutes in total. This does not include any time to respond to questions from Town Council.
Members of the public in attendance at any meeting of Town Council, including Public Hearings, are expected to adhere to the General Conduct of Meetings outlined in the Council Procedural Bylaw.
The information listed below may be found in the Council Procedural Bylaw:
6.9 Members of the public in attendance at a Meeting:
(a) shall not address Council without permission; and
(b) shall maintain order and quiet; and
(c) shall not applaud or otherwise interrupt any speech or action of the Members, or any other persons addressing Council.
6.10 The Mayor may, in accordance with the Act, expel and exclude any person who creates a disturbance or acts improperly.
